Dr. Wise was born in Cincinnati, Ohio but grew up in Atlanta, Georgia. He made the circle back to the Midwest when he joined Allergy Associates, later to become Allergy Partners of Central Indiana, in 1991. He has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor since 2013.
After over two decades of doctoring, Dr. Wise remains enthusiastic in the practice of Allergy. “I believe that educating patients and patient input are important parts of medical care. By listening to patients and families, I work with them to develop an individualized treatment plan.”
Dr. Wise cares for patients of all ages for a range of allergic diseases but is particularly drawn to the areas of nasal (allergic rhinitis/ hay fever) and sinus issues, asthma, and food allergy. These are areas in which good care can greatly improve quality of life. Dr. Wise is a strong supporter of allergen immunotherapy, or “allergy injections”, as one of the few treatments in medicine with a true disease modifying and curative potential. He takes great pride in his work and has been voted a “Top Doctor in Allergy/Immunology” in Indianapolis Monthly Magazine’s physician’s survey every year since 2013.
Dr. Wise also enjoys teaching and has received the American College of Physicians Preceptorship Award for outstanding community-based education. He is a past President of the Indiana Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology Society, and is involved in training medical students and residents as an assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine and volunteer faculty at both the Indiana University Medical Center and the newer Marion University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
