Jessica Macdougall, MD
Dr. Macdougall grew up in Kernersville, NC before moving to Chapel Hill, NC to complete her undergraduate studies at UNC. She is very proud to have completed her medical education, residency, and Allergy and Immunology fellowship training at UNC-Chapel Hill.
She spent the last three years in Oregon at OHSU as director of the Food Allergy Center where she started the food immunotherapy treatment and prevention program. She has clinical research experience in food allergy treatment and prevention and was awarded a grant during her fellowship training for developing food allergy patient education specifically for adolescents transitioning to adulthood. She has been invited to be a speaker at national and regional conferences and regularly engages in medical education for community and hospital-based providers, medical students, residents, and fellows. She is an author on several publications for food immunotherapy, food allergy diagnostics, and alpha gal syndrome.
She is excited to return home to the Winston-Salem area to be closer to family and provide excellent, evidence-based care to patients and families in the Triad.
When she is not in the office, she loves to spend time with her spouse, twin girls, and dog. On the weekends, you will find her enjoying outdoor activities or at the zoo feeding the giraffes.
