Irina Dawson, MD
Dr. Irina Dawson is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who truly enjoys caring for patients of all ages. She completed her fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at the University of South Florida–Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she served as Chief Fellow. During her training, she was involved in clinical research, with publications in Frontiers in Immunology, and presented her work at national conferences including the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology and the Clinical Immunology Society.
Dr. Dawson was initially drawn to the field by the complexity and precision of the immune system. She was fascinated by how the body protects itself through an intricate network of cells and signals—and how disruptions in that system can lead to a wide range of allergic and immunologic conditions. This blend of science and patient care led her to pursue a career in Allergy and Immunology.
What continues to inspire her most is the opportunity to help patients improve their health and quality of life. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic conditions such as asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema, food allergy, chronic hives, and drug allergy.
Her approach to care is centered on listening, education, and collaboration. “I want my patients to feel heard and to have a clear understanding of their diagnosis and treatment options. By working together, we can create a personalized plan that aligns with their needs and supports their overall well-being.”
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Dawson enjoys gardening, photography, and yoga. Most of all, she cherishes time with her husband and their three young children—whether exploring local parks or simply spending time together as a family.
