David Rose, MD
Dr. David Rose is an Allergy/Immunology specialist practicing as a specialist since 2013. Prior to Allergy fellowship training he was an Air Force pediatrician after graduating from the Uniformed Services University military medical school in 2006 and obtaining his residency training in pediatrics from Wright-Patterson Medical center in 2009. As a pediatrician Dr. Rose deployed to Bagram Airbase as the Joint Task Force Pediatrician for all Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During his Air Force career, he served as the Chief of Allergy and Immunology for Eglin Hospital and the Florida Panhandle Market Lead for Allergy services under the Defense Health Agency. Dr. Rose also served for 11 years as the Medical Director of Immunizations for Eglin Hospital Immunizations clinics and was a key member of the base pandemic response team. In addition to his training and experience in allergy and immunology, he has extensive experience in the arena of biologic therapies, vaccine policy, vaccine patient counseling, immunization clinic operations, and adverse event treatment and vaccine allergy testing. Dr. Rose is a nationally recognized speaker for GSK and AstraZeneca, and has served on the ACAAI Biologics and Therapeutics committee and the Rhinitis, Sinusitis and Ocular Allergy committee.
Dr. Rose has many personal accomplishments outside of the field of medicine. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Ohio State University where he was a member of Air Force ROTC Det. 645. During military training cadet Rose was selected to fly one time in a training aircraft and managed not to crash, mostly due to help from the pilot instructor. He convinced the love of his life to marry him and is raising three children with his wife, along with numerous pets and chickens. He completed two marathons, several legs of the 200 mile Texas Independence Relay, and one Tough Mudder race and has retired from running unless he’s in danger. Pickle ball is his current athletic hobby. Dr. Rose has been on many mission trips to both central and south Americas and was entrusted to serve as a Shepherd/Elder at the Fort Walton Beach church of Christ by his church family.
