I joined Allergy Partners of Pinehurst in 2009, after completing residency in internal medicine followed by fellowship in pediatric and adult Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. Prior to that, I attended the University of Cincinnati for medical school and graduated in 2003.
I chose the field of allergy, asthma and immunology because these conditions have such an enormous impact on the quality of life for both adults and children. I enjoy spending time educating patients on the importance of these conditions.
My husband Patrick and I married in 2003. We have two wonderful girls. Madelyn was born in 2006 and Isabelle was born in 2007. My personal interests include painting, cooking, skiing, running, and spending time with my family. I enjoy serving the Pinehurst community and nearby areas.
I am board certified in Allergy and Immunology.
As an allergist with her own share of allergies, I continue to be fascinated by the fields of allergy and immunology and am always eager to hear other people’s accounts of their allergic symptoms. I often find that my patients and I have had similar experiences, which assists me in educating them about their conditions.
My ultimate goal is to motivate patients to achieve better health and an improved quality of life. I have resided in the Chicago area for most of my life, but left briefly to attend Brown University in Providence, RI where I received an undergraduate degree in neuroscience.
I returned to Chicago for medical school and subsequent training in internal medicine and adult and pediatric allergy and immunology.
I relocated to North Carolina to join with my husband, Dr. Colin Freccia, a native of Fayetteville who is also a physician with Allergy Partners. I enjoy all food-related activities, yoga, relaxing with a good book, and experiencing other cultures through travel.
I joined Allergy Partners in Pinehurst in October of 2016. I am happy to be in the field of allergy, asthma and immunology. I feel that I can relate with many of the patients since I also have been dealing with allergies for years. I am also excited to expand my knowledge and horizons in the field of immunology.
I have been a practicing physician assistant for 10 years. I have spent nine years in Family Medicine as well as one year in Urology. I attended the Army’s distinguished Inter-service Physician Assistant Program and graduated with my Master’s in Physician Assistant studies through the University Of Nebraska Medical Center. I continue to serve in the North Carolina National Guard.
I married my husband John in 2012 and we have a delightful little girl. My husband has since retired from the Army and we have decided to permanently reside in the Pinehurst area. I have many hobbies and enjoy swimming, SCUBA, singing, reading, snowboarding, and traveling.
