It's now been almost 3 weeks since the tragic death of George Floyd. Protests continue on a daily basis and the unrest over racism and oppression have come to and are staying on the surface. Watching this unfold, reading, and listening to others has caused me to reflect and more closely examine my own attitudes and actions as well as those of Allergy Partners.
First, where do I stand? I deplore racism and want to see it completely extinguished. From an Allergy Partners standpoint, I want us to be a true work family, welcoming and celebrating the diversity within our ranks. We understand that some of our employees may be angry, afraid, or disheartened because of recent events or because of their own personal experiences. We want all employees to feel safe, respected and valued at Allergy Partners.
I would like for us as a group to be proactive in ensuring that the work environment is welcoming to all. As part of this process, we will take this opportunity to provide training on Diversity, Inclusion, and Sensitivity, and hope that this will lead all of us to examine our own attitudes, work to change those that we should, and build an even better Allergy Partners.
