Laura is a Nurse Practitioner and a Hoosier native. She completed her BSN at the IU School of Nursing at IUPUI in 2009. Laura worked primarily in the operating room during her RN career. She then went on to earn her MSN at Indiana Wesleyan University in 2018. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a family nurse practitioner.
Highlights of her NP career include an Army contract at Camp Atterbury taking care of soldiers, retail health, and primary care. Laura is excited to continue her NP career in the specialty of allergy, asthma, and immunology.
Laura grew up on the Southside of Indianapolis in Franklin Township. She lived there most of her life until 3 years ago, when she and her husband acquired 3 acres and built a house in the town of Fairland, IN. There they enjoy spending time with their daughter, dog, cat, and chickens. Laura’s hobbies include traveling, reading, and spending time outdoors.
Dr. Smith is Board Certified in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. He has been in clinical practice since 2015, and is an Indianapolis native. He was born and raised on the south side of Indianapolis, and was happy to return home to practice Allergy and Immunology upon completing his medical training. He graduated from Franklin Central High School, and received his Bachelor’s degree at IUPUI. He attended medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton FL, where he was twice awarded the Academic Excellence Scholarship. He returned to Indianapolis for his residency at St. Vincent’s, where he sat on the House Staff Council, before traveling to Henry Ford Health System in Michigan for his Allergy/Immunology Fellowship.
His clinical interests include asthma, allergic rhinitis, recurrent infections, contact dermatitis, urticaria, venom allergy, atopic dermatitis and food allergy. He has served as both a Principal and Sub-investigator in clinical trials, enjoys working with local residency programs, and has presented at several local and national medical conferences.
Dr. Smith enjoys spending his free time with his wife and three children. His hobbies include fishing, reading and traveling.

Kelley Edwards, FNP-C joined Allergy Partners in February 2023. She is a lifelong Hoosier and Columbus, Indiana native. She completed her undergraduate degree at the IU School of Nursing at IUPUC in 2001. Kelley worked as a registered nurse for 5 years at an internal medicine practice. She then moved into the hospital setting where she worked as a registered nurse for 13 years in areas, including medical-surgical, outpatient surgery, emergency room, and utilization review. Kelley then returned to school and graduated with distinction in 2016 from the IU School of Nursing at IUPUI with a Master’s of Science in Nursing. She is board certified with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Kelley has worked as a nurse practitioner in both the urgent care and retail health settings. She is excited to continue her nurse practitioner career serving the community of Columbus in the specialty of asthma, allergy, and immunology. In her spare time, Kelley enjoys traveling, camping, and boating with her husband and two girls. Her other hobbies include outdoor activities with her family and five dogs, reading, gardening, and physical fitness
