Dr. Keitel’s interest in Allergy and Immunology began in college researching Tcells, an important cell in the immune system. A practice focused in the field of allergy seemed natural through his nine years of medical training. After finishing his Allergy training at Vanderbilt University, joining Allergy Partners at the Northern Kentucky hub in 2003 allowed him to practice in a family-oriented area to help care for both kids and adults.
“After a decade treating allergic diseases, the satisfaction of helping patients improve their quality of life by controlling their allergy symptoms is very rewarding.”
Originally from southern Indiana, the Cincinnati Metro area provides many exciting opportunities for entertainment, sport, and dining that were not available to Dr. Keitel growing up in the “farmland.”
Heather is a lifelong resident of the Northern Kentucky area. She became a Family Nurse Practioner after graduating with Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati in April 2013. Prior to becoming a Family Nurse Practioner, Heather was a registered nurse in the Same Day Surgery department at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. She also graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Nursing from Northern Kentucky University in 2010.
“I have a special interest in allergy and asthma, as I have experienced firsthand the effects of dealing with allergies and asthma. I hope my personal experiences will help me to connect and build relationships with the patients I will see and treat at Allergy Partners.”
While not at work, Heather enjoys reading, going to the gym, rooting on her favorite sports teams, watching movies and spending time with her husband and family.
