Merrill Lee Myers, FNP

Merrill Lee Myers finds joy in medicine through getting to know her patients and collaborating with them to find their best treatment plan. She is experienced in the use of standard allergy treatments, but enthusiastically pursues innovative methods for patients who have not responded to traditional remedies.

She started her nursing career as a Registered Nurse, first working in Georgetown University Hospital with geriatric patients, and then with Suburban Hospital's Coronary Care Unit. There began her passion for patient and family education while promoting preventative care. After graduating with her Master's Degree from George Mason University, she gained experience in Family Practice before dedicating her focus to allergy care. Merrill Lee currently holds a national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Part of Merrill Lee's background in allergy care stems from her personal life. Her son was diagnosed with allergic rhinitis, asthma, eczema and food allergy when he was four years old. This experience allowed Merrill Lee to truly understand the patient's family perspective. She is happy to provide real life examples to help families deal with allergies in their day to day lives.

Merrill Lee has lived most of her life in Northern Virginia and has provided all of her allergy care in this area. She will tell you that the best part of her work is the gift of patients and families sharing their lives, watching their children grow up and celebrating their return to or maintenance of good health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking with friends, taking spin classes, and kayaking on Lake Anne.
