Dr. Cynthia L. Costenbader has been practicing medicine in Northern Virginia for over 25 years, and has been with the Allergy Partners of Metro DC since 2003. She graduated Summa cum laude from the University of Maryland in College Park, and attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. During college and medical school she also spent time doing bench research, initially at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and then at the NIH where she was chosen to be one of only 2 guest student speakers nationwide at a major medical meeting. She completed her pediatric residency at Children’s National Medical Center and is board-certified in Pediatrics. After being in private practice for a year, she joined the medical faculty at The George Washington University School of Medicine as a Clinical Instructor. There she treated patients, taught medical students and pediatric residents, and gave regular lectures in the physician assistant’s program. She was promoted to an Associate Clinical Professor at GWU and to an Assistant Clinical Professor at Children’s National Medical Center. She has authored and co-authored several papers published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Costenbader, (Dr. Cindy to her patients), feels the best way to provide quality care is by treating patients with compassion and respect in a relaxed and friendly environment. Her treatment philosophy over her many years in medicine has remained the same: treat patients like you would treat a family member, and enjoy what you do.
Dr. Costenbader has been married for more than 30 years to a native Washingtonian and has 2 sons, Fred and Ryan.

Dr. Satyen Gada joined the Allergy Partners of Metro DC in October of 2013. He completed his undergraduate education at Brown University and attended medical school at Boston University.
He is a board certified Pediatrician and Allergist/Immunologist, receiving his training in both specialties locally through the National Capital Consortium.
Dr. Gada is the Former Chair of the Vaccines and Biologic Threats Committee and a member of the Rhinitis, Sinusitis, and Ocular Allergy Committee of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI). He has conducted research and published on several topics in Allergy and Immunology.
He enjoys working with all age groups across the entire spectrum of allergic conditions. Dr. Gada’s philosophy of practicing medicine is focused on a patient-centered approach through listening, educating, and developing individualized management plans for each of his patients.

Dr. Gina Dapul-Hidalgo is board-certified in pediatric and adult allergy, asthma, and immunology and has been providing exemplary patient care for nearly a decade. She completed her fellowship in the Division of Allergy and Immunology at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Dapul-Hidalgo obtained her undergraduate degree from Boston University and graduated with Highest Honors from Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency at SUNY Downstate where she received an Intern of the Year award. Dr. Dapul-Hidalgo was also selected as an Empire Clinical Research Investigator Program (ECRIP) Fellow and participated in translational and clinical research throughout her training. She has presented her research at national meetings and is published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. In addition, Dr. Dapul-Hidalgo has led numerous allergy and asthma clinical trials as both a principal and sub-investigator.

I’m truly excited about moving to Northern Virginia and joining Allergy Partners in Vienna, Virginia. I’m very passionate about the field of Allergy & Immunology and I appreciate that it allows me to help both adults and children presenting with a variety of complex pathologies. I was fortunate to complete my fellowship training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where I also completed my clinical research training in food immunotherapy at Dr. Wesley Burks lab, an international expert in food allergy. Before my fellowship training, I attended Damascus University School of Medicine and did my Internal Medicine residency training at Wayne State University.
When I am not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, swimming, parachuting and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Kabil graduated medical school with honors then went on to complete a Pediatric residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch followed by an Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Kabil joins us after serving as an Assistant Professor of Allergy and Immunology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.
Dr. Kabil has participated in medical research and has published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice and the World Allergy Organization Web. She has also presented at annual conferences for the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. Kabil is a diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. She is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Her clinical interests include the evaluation and management of a broad range of allergic and immunologic conditions including asthma, allergic rhinitis, food allergies, and allergic skin disorders.

Dr. Uyenphuong Le is a native of Northern Virginia. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and a graduate degree from Georgetown University. She then continued her studies in Philadelphia where she earned a medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed an Internal Medicine residency at Hahnemann University Hospital/Drexel University College of Medicine before moving back to the DC metro area to work as a hospitalist at Washington Hospital Center for 3 years prior to starting her Adult & Pediatric Allergy/Immunology fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which she completed in 2014.
Dr. Le is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) as well as the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI). She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy/Immunology.

Dr. Nithya Swamy graduated with high honors and Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin and received her medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She completed an Internal Medicine residency at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas where she received the Steven Rinner Outstanding Intern award and was selected Chief Resident in her final year. She joined Allergy Partners of Metro DC after completing a fellowship in Adult & Pediatric Allergy/Immunology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology as well as the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. She has presented her research at state and national meetings and is published in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology. She is experienced in treating a variety of conditions including environmental allergies, sinus disease, asthma, food allergies, eczema, hives, and other allergic disorders.
A native of Texas, Dr. Swamy now calls Northern Virginia home. Her personal interests include traveling, yoga, spending time with friends & family and playing with her dog.

Dr. Gulbu Uzel completed her training in pediatrics at the Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, and joined the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship Program at the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Disease at the NIH. During her fellowship training, she carried out basic and clinical immunology research at one of the most reputable immunology laboratories studying host defense defects. She continued her postdoctoral studies at the Human Genome Institute and became part of the lab that pioneered newborn screening of Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID) in the US.
Dr. Uzel continues her work at the NIH and covers as needed in the various offices of Allergy Partners of Metro DC.
