Dr. Jack Harris grew up in Temple, Texas. He had severe asthma and allergies as a child, which led him to choose medicine as a career. Dr. Harris attended Texas A&M University, College Station, and graduated with summa cum laude honors in 1978. He attended medical school at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He underwent residency training in pediatrics at The University of Texas Teaching Hospitals in San Antonio from 1981 to 1984. Dr. Harris completed a fellowship in Allergy & Immunology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1986. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and by the American Board of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
Dr. Harris is a fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and is a member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He is also a member of the Texas Allergy, Asthma and Immunology society as well as the Texas Medical Association.
Dr. Harris began his allergy practice in 1986 by joining Allergy Clinic, P.A. in Tyler, Texas. He, along with his partners, opened a branch office located in Longview, Texas that same year. He currently sees patients of all ages in both the Tyler and Longview clinic locations. In 2001, Dr. Harris received a Masters in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Tyler.
Dr. Harris is married and has two daughters and four grandchildren. He enjoys playing piano/keyboards with several bands in the East Texas area.
Dr. Mark McCabe grew up in Dallas, Texas. He has been an avid outdoorsman from a young age, earning the rank of Eagle Scout in high school. He pursued a degree in Biology at Texas A&M University, College Station where he graduated summa cum laude in 2012 with a perfect 4.0 GPA. He attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas where he graduated magna cum laude in 2016.
Dr. McCabe completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Colorado Hospital system in Denver, Colorado from 2016 to 2019. He completed fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology in the summer of 2021 from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. McCabe continues to enjoy camping, fishing, and hiking. He also enjoys photography.
Allison Rutelonis, FNP-C grew up in the South Texas area and has always had an affinity for helping others. She attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and graduated in 2009 with a Kinesiology (Motor Behavior) degree. She attended nursing school at The University of Houston-Victoria in Sugar Land, Texas, graduating magna cum laude in 2010. Following nursing school she worked on the Surgical/Oncology floor at College Station Medical Center and gained a variety of experiences and skills. In 2013, she graduated with a Masters in Public Health with a concentration of Occupational Health and Safety, from Texas A&M University School of Rural and Public Health. After graduation, she began a new role as an Occupational Health Nurse, in the oil and gas industry. While continuing her work as an occupational health nurse, she started her journey to become a family nurse practitioner. In May 2018, she graduated with her Masters in Nursing with a concentration of Family Nurse Practitioner, from Texas State University.
Allison is a certified occupational health specialist and is a member of the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses and American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. She is also certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Allison lives in Longview with her Husband, 2 dogs, and a cat. They will be welcoming a baby boy this summer. She enjoys hanging out with her family, playing with her nephews, and walking her dogs. She is excited to join the team at Allergy Partners and serving patients in the East Texas area.
Jean Harris, RN, FNP-BC was born and spent her childhood in Oklahoma before moving to Houston, Texas as a young teen. She attended undergraduate courses at Southwest Texas University, now Texas State, and then transferred to The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She began a career as a cardiac intensive care nurse and then took a break to start raising twin daughters.
After a move to Tyler, Texas, she resumed her career as an ICU nurse for several years and became certified as a Critical Care Registered Nurse, CCRN. Ultimately, she accepted a position at East Texas Medical Center Hospital, now UT Health East Texas, as the Critical Care Educator, and director of the Advanced Cardiac Life (ACLS) Support program. Later in her career, she completed the Family Nurse Practitioner Master’s program at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. She has worked over twenty years as a nurse practitioner in hospital and clinic settings in cardiology and pulmonary medicine. She also made home visits on Medicare Advantage members for several insurance companies.
Following a brief retirement, she is looking forward to caring for and getting to know the patients and families in the practice of Allergy/Immunology at Allergy Partners of East Texas. She is married, and has four grandchildren with whom she enjoys visiting. She also spends time with her Australian Cattle dog mix Annie, and is an avid cook.
