ALLERGY PARTNERS OF CHAPEL HILL

POSITION:  Patient Care Coordinator
This job may be part-time or full-time.  There is a 4 day work week Monday – Thursday.

 

JOB SUMMARY:  Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule all new patient appointments
  • Verify eligibility and benefits
  • Monitor various messaging applications and respond appropriately
  • Utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) to input medical records from outside sources into the patient’s chart 
  • Assist patients with general billing questions
  • Collect in-person and over the phone payments
  • Assist with processing of insurance claims, including follow-up of denied claims
  • Assist patients with portal issues
  • Monitor electronic fax line and distribute documents to appropriate individuals
  • Monitor voicemails

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma and/or GED required
  • Medical administrative assistant certification preferred

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a medical office setting
  • Experience with the following is highly preferred:  Athena, Centricity, Waystar/Zirmed, Phreesia

 

COMPENSATION:  $14 – $17 per hour
