You Don't have to Suffer from Allergies and Asthma

With so many options available to you, there is no need to continue to suffer with allergies and asthma. We will be there to help you every step of the way, so that you can live better and breathe better.

Services

Our doctors limit their practice to the diagnosis and treatment of allergic disease, asthma, clinical immunology and related problems. The field of allergy and clinical immunology is complex and of necessity requires thorough and time consuming attention to detail.

We strive to provide highly professional care in a friendly atmosphere. We welcome any of your questions, comments or concerns. Working as a team with you and your primary care physician, we will do our very best to help you overcome your allergies and asthma.

Initial Appointment

If time permits, an allergy questionnaire will be mailed to you before your first visit. Please complete it as carefully and thoughtfully as possible since an accurate history is an important cornerstone of your evaluation. Antihistamines, cough syrups, decongestants or medications for itching or sinus infections should not be taken for 72 hours prior to evaluation. If you are currently taking an asthma medication, it is important  to continue to take it. If you have a question about a particular drug, please call the office.

A visit to an allergy specialist is different from many other doctor visits. Because we want to find out what are often long-term, difficult problems, your evaluation can take up to two hours, The doctor will begin by talking with you in detail about your problems and then perform a physical examination. Based on your history and physical the doctor may then recommend allergy skin tests, chest or sinus x-rays, blood tests or pulmonary function (breathing) tests. After the evaluation is complete, the doctor will sit down with you, discuss the diagnosis and recommended treatment of your condition and allow time for questions.

Insurance

Please be sure to bring your insurance card and driver's license with you to your first appointment. Insurance will be filed for you at the time of your visit. However, you will be responsible for any copay or deductable amount which is due at the time of your visit. If you belong to an HMO, please be sure to bring appropriate authorization papers. We do accept Medicaid, First Choice and Select Health, but only if you are referred by a doctor. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.
