In 2007, Dr. Kim joined with Allergy Partners to open Allergy Partners of Northern Virginia. He received both his undergraduate and medical degree from the George Washington University. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine and his fellowship training in Allergy & Immunology at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Dr. Kim is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Allergy & Immunology. Prior to private practice, Dr. Kim served as a U.S. Army medical officer in various leadership positions at medical centers and won numerous medals for his outstanding service. He served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and recently separated from the Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Academically, Dr. Kim is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). He was an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Texas Health Science Center (San Antonio), and has also taught medical students and residents at the University of Hawaii. Professionally, Dr. Kim has been recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (FAAAAI), the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (FACAAI), and the American College of Physicians (FACP). His special areas of interest include pediatric and adult allergic rhinitis & sinusitis, asthma, and atopic dermatitis (eczema) and food allergy. Locations: |
